Salado Cultural Arts District Grant Program
Welcome to the Salado Cultural Arts District Grant Program. Our mission is to support and promote the arts and culture of Salado through these grants. In the 2023-24 fiscal year, funding was made available through the Village of Salado Hotel Occupancy Tax. The Salado Cultural Arts District reviewed all applications, and the Village of Salado Board of Alderman approved the funding for each grant.

Salado Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering, May 3-5, 2024
Grants application for 2024-25 will be announced in the summer of 2024.
Program Guidelines
1. Eligibility: The applicant must demonstrate that the associated event will be open to the public and directly enhance and promote the arts and culture of the Village of Salado.
2. Application Requirements: Applicants must provide the following documents for their application to be considered.

3. Use of Funds:
Funds are a one-time fee of up to 1000.00 per event /person.
Funding cannot be used for alcohol, prizes, or items not following Village of Salado guidelines.
4. Award of Funding: Upon evaluation of all applications, the Salado Cultural Arts District Board will make funding recommendations to the Salado Board of Aldermen, who will, in turn, make the final decision on the award of funding. The Village of Salado will distribute funding for the event once approved.
5. Post-Event Reporting Process: All applicants that are awarded funding must submit a Post Event Report within sixty (60) days of the conclusion of their event or activity.
Failure to submit a Post Event Report will result in the ineligibility for funding from the Grant Program in the future. The Post Event Report shall include information regarding event attendance and a detailed line-item financial report showing final event revenues and expenditures. Copies of paid invoices for expenses paid with grant funds shall be attached to the Post Event Report. This information helps us report funding opportunities to the Texas Commission for the Arts and document financial information for the Village of Salado.
